Fortune Gems Garuda: why the search joins two slots, and which one you meant
· checked by Keshav Lulla
There is no slot called Fortune Gems Garuda. The search joins two different games from the same studio: Fortune Gems, an older series, and Fortune Garuda, the temple slot this site is about. Both have "Fortune" in the name, gems on the symbols and a column of multipliers beside the reels, so the mix-up is easy. They play differently enough that it is worth knowing which one you are after before you open either.

What did you search, and which game is it?
| What you typed | What it usually means |
|---|---|
| Fortune Gems | the Fortune Gems series (Fortune Gems, 2, 3 and later entries) |
| Fortune Gems 500 | a Fortune Gems entry, not Fortune Garuda |
| Fortune Gems Garuda, Garuda Fortune Gems | a mix of the two; usually Fortune Garuda, remembered as "the gems one" |
| Fortune Gems Garuda 500 | almost always Fortune Garuda 500 |
| Fortune Garuda, Garuda Fortune | Fortune Garuda (500 or 1000) |
| Garuda Gems | a separate game from a different studio |
If the game you remember had a golden bird-headed figure standing beside the reels, it was Fortune Garuda. If it had gems and a multiplier reel but no winged figure, it was most likely Fortune Gems.

How is Fortune Garuda different from Fortune Gems?
The shared parts are real: both come from the studio that publishes as TaDa Gaming (JILI in Asian lobbies), both use gem symbols, and both pair the main reels with a separate reel of multipliers. The difference is what moves that multiplier reel.
- In Fortune Garuda the multiplier reel is worked by Garuda. When a NUDGE symbol lands, he grabs the side reel and pulls it down so the value above drops in, and he can keep grabbing. That nudge, the Garuda figure and the temple setting are the heart of the game.
- Fortune Gems has no Garuda. Its entries list their own features in their own rules windows, and the Garuda nudge is not among them.
So the feature you are chasing decides the game. Someone who liked watching the multiplier get dragged down the side reel is looking for Fortune Garuda. We cover only Fortune Garuda on this site; we do not publish figures for Fortune Gems, because it is a different game with its own rules window.

Is Fortune Gems Garuda 500 a real version?
No. The 500 belongs to Fortune Garuda: "Fortune Garuda 500" is the first build, with a side reel topping out at 500x. The 1000 is the second build, with a 1000x top. When "500" appears next to "Fortune Gems Garuda" in a search, the person almost always means Fortune Garuda 500; the builds are compared on the Fortune Garuda 1000 page.

What about Garuda Gems?
Garuda Gems is a different game made by a different studio, with its own rules and symbols. It shares a word and nothing else. Nothing on this site describes it.

How do I check which game a lobby opened?
Three glances, all inside the game:
- 1Is there a golden Garuda beside the reels? Yes means Fortune Garuda.
- 2Does a NUDGE symbol appear on the reels, with Garuda pulling the side reel? That is Fortune Garuda.
- 3What does the title in the rules window say? It names the game and, for Fortune Garuda, the build.
Lobby tiles can be cropped or shortened, so the game's own screen is the better witness than the tile.

Demos for both
Both series can be tried on play credit on the studio's game pages. What a demo shows, and what it cannot, is on the Fortune Garuda demo page. When you are ready to play the temple slot for real, the lobby behind our link carries it, and its welcome terms are on the bonus page.
